The mission of the Graphic Design program is to educate students for professional excellence in graphic design and to promote the advancement of graphic design as a proponent of positive social change. The program provides a premier educational experience that fosters creativity, professional knowledge, technical expertise, and a critical and global perspective. The curriculum encompasses both a broad-based education in the liberal arts and extensive studio practice. Graphic Design's mission reflects the institutional mission to develop student's aesthetic, intellectual, analytical and technological abilities through programs that integrate theory and practice, and expose students to their chosen professions through internships, guest lectures, industry-sponsored projects, and other opportunities for experiential learning.
Job Description:
We are seeking a professional with demonstrated versatility and experience in working across and actively engaged in creative disciplines inclusive of design-thinking knowledge and practice, emerging technologies, and innovative instructional methodologies.
The successful candidate will effectively communicate with and guide students to achieve their educational goals, providing them with knowledge of current practices aligned with traditional foundations and emerging technologies in the field. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate-level courses in the Graphic Design program in the Communication Design Pathways department.

Demonstrate technological skills relating to software and hardware widely used in the graphic design profession.
Demonstrate ability to communicate through technology and utilization of the college course management system and campus portal.
Demonstrate a commitment to maintain currency in technological skills and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
BFA in a design program including graphic design, fine arts, industrial design, architecture or digital design with a minimum of seven (7) years of academic and/or professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
MFA or doctoral degree in graphic design or a closely related discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years professional and academic experience serving as a faculty member.
This position will be required to constantly read and comprehend, occasionally perform calculations, constantly verbally communicate, frequently analyze, and constantly write. The working conditions for this position will be any combination of the classroom, lab, and/or office space. Certain roles may be required to handle machinery and chemicals. The physical requirement for this position will require occasional sitting, constant standing, occasional bending, frequent walking, and occasionally lifting 10 lbs. or less.
Additional Information:
