Profile

Mathematics instructors teach developmental mathematics through linear algebra with an emphasis on developmental mathematics; ability to use technology to teach mathematics is essential; master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a master's in a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in mathematics is required. Significant mathematics teaching experience is also required. The HCC Mathematics Division values collaboration and team-work. Candidates should have the ability to work on and lead faculty teams; be available to teach both day and evening sections and at the Laurel campus, as needed. Faculty work load includes student advising and active participation in college activities. All candidates must include a one page statement describing their teaching philosophy.
Requirements:
* Master's in Mathematics, Statistics or closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in mathematics/statistics
* Teaching experience including the appropriate use of technology.
* Strong communication skills - include a one page teaching philosophy.
