Primary Responsibilities Include:
Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching courses in public administration. May also teach courses in management, marketing and sales, finance and entrepreneurship.
Revision and development of instructional materials as well as assessment of student outcomes.
Participation in discipline, division, and college matters through service on committees and attendance at regular meetings as well as continued professional development.
Continue the professionalism of an active scholar, participate in departmental and campus-wide matters to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission.
To best meet the needs of our students, faculty must be flexible to teach day, evening, or weekend sections, and have the ability to teach classes on campus and online. Faculty must practice contemporary teaching strategies, including learner outcome assessments, and foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all students.
Start date of this position is August 17, 2022.
Required Qualifications
Education Requirement:
Master’s degree in business administration or business management; or
Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in business administration or business management.
Preferred Qualifications
Earned Masters or doctorate degree in business, public administration or a related field.
3 – 5 years demonstrated experience with public administration, non-profits and other public sector industry fields.
Demonstrated ability to educate adult learners, students of color, students with disabilities, and international students.
Working knowledge of alternative instructional techniques and delivery methods such as online education, podcasting, digital technology, etc.
Flexibility to teach daytime, evening, or weekend sections.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Salary:
Unlimited Full-Time faculty salaries currently range from $39,212 – $84,192 annually. Salary schedule placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2019-2021 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF).
Benefits:
Unlimited Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits year round.
