TRIO & MT10 Program Coordinator Il.
The mission of the TRIO: Student Support Services program at Helena College is to increase the retention, transfer, and graduation rates of first generation students, income challenged students, and students with documented disabilities. TRIO provides supportive services such as academic and career advising, comprehensive academic support and financial aid and financial literacy education. TRIO SSS program staff collaborates with each TRIO participant to assist them in attaining their personal, educational, and career goals.
The mission of the MT10 program at Helena College is to make college attainable for all Montanans, especially rural, low-income, American Indian and first-generation college students. The program offers academic, social, and financial support designed to help students succeed in college.
Duties and Responsibilities
The TRIO /MT10 Program Coordinator Il reports to the Director of Retention Initiatives and supports the services, activities, and offerings of the TRIO SSS program and MT10. This individual is under limited supervision of the Director. This position provides the overall organization and oversight of the TRIO program’s data collection and reporting, budget oversight, marketing decisions, and general office coordination of services and programs. In addition, the program coordinator manages all interactive multimedia, marketing, electronic recruitment, web site updates, and technology efforts for the TRIO/MT10 program. In summary, the TRIO/MT10 program coordinator provides communication and marketing, technology, programming and administrative support for the TRIO SSS and the MT10 program in support of its participants.
Serve as first contact with the public and first screening for prospective students
Provide administrative, financial, research, analytical, report and program resource management support for TRIO Student Support Services and MT10 program
Coordinate and implement all interactive multimedia, marketing, electronic recruitment, web site updates, and technology efforts for the TRIO and MT10 program
Assist with the tracking of federal, state and institutional reporting requirements
Manage student population through quality communication and forecasting of needs, and programming
Provide students with technology support
Use MS Office (Word, Excel, InDesign/Publisher, Power Point, Access, etc) to assist with document production, recruitment processes, tracking of expenditures, budgeting and prepare reports sometimes of a complex nature such as the Annual Performance Review for the TRIO Grant. Track program participants, mentors, tutors, instructors, payments, materials, activities, and program supplies costs and supporting materials
Ability to learn to operate and update and collaborate with appropriate entities regarding the program website and any other electronic media viewed as useful and viable for distribution of program information
Ability to work within Helena College, the Montana University System, and the Federal TRIO policies and procedures for administration of the approved program grant
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree, or a high school diploma and at least two (2) years’ experience directly related to the Duties and Responsibilities listed above or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the hiring authority.
Benefit and Salary Information
$16.535 - $20.669 per hour.
