: WSM has a local reputation for excellence in a town that values music education, with no other full Suzuki program within 8-10 miles. With a new main road location the school is experiencing unprecedented growth; some instruments have waitlists. We seek passionate, experienced teachers for our team.
Duties
: Strings: Private lessons, group classes, possible Intro to Violin classes
Piano: Private lessons, possible groups
Voice: Private lessons
Days: negotiable. In-person (strict health protocols) and Zoom. Both traditional & Suzuki students available. Possible advanced students, chamber music coaching.
Qualifications
: Suzuki registered through Book 2 minimum (higher preferred)
8 -10 years professional teaching experience
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, on-the-spot creativity
Strong performance skills and credits
Commitment to continued growth as teacher and musician
Willingness to be part of a team
Salary
: Hourly rate: Private lessons $53.50, chamber music $58.25, group classes $64. Recitals and events also paid.
Attendance/makeup policies emphasize respect for teachers’ time and professionalism, and are firmly upheld.
