Academic General PediatricianrnThe Division of Ambulatory General Pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Lubbock is looking for an outstanding pediatrician to join their division. Responsibilities include:rnrnDirect patient care in the general pediatric ambulatory clinics, with the predominant site being in Southwest Lubbock.rnProvide inpatient care in the family care nursery within the normal rotational schedule of other general ambulatory pediatricians and coverage up to twice a month at our rural school-based clinic approximately 60 miles away.rnParticipation in educating future health care providers, conducting research, participating in quality improvement, and engaging in advocacy in settings where normally developing children and children with special health care needs receive high value comprehensive, team-based care that is flexible and responsive to new health care delivery models.rnrn Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Pediatrics. Once Board Certified, it is the expectation, that one would enter maintenance of certification. The selected candidates will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical Non-Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.rnThe Department of Pediatrics strives to provide the highest standard of medical care for its patients, ensure excellence in the education of medical students and resident physicians (25), and serve as an advocate for pediatric health issues throughout the region and state. There are currently 14 General Pediatricians. Other Pediatric Sub-Specialty Services include: Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pediatric Hospitalist, Pediatric Intensive Care, Pulmonology, Radiology, Surgery, and Urology. Ancillary services include: hospice care, child life therapy, social work, physical and occupational therapy, and music therapy.rnOur physicians enjoy a generous benefits package including competitive salary, relocation expenses, and CME/professional development (AAP dues paid by department).
