General Description of Position:
Support of Agriculture Department and faculty; regarding management and operation of laboratory equipment, maintain inventory, and preform basic greenhouse functions: plant, transplant, water, and harvest.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment/inventory of laboratory tools, equipment and services.
Assist and/or operate lab and instructional activities in the department.
Assist students and faculty with all lab related problems in relation to labs/facility.
Establish/maintain a preventative maintenance schedule of all lab related equipment and materials to maintain each piece in proper working order.
Preform basic greenhouse functions like planting, transplanting, watering, and harvesting.
Be involved with long range planning for the upgrading of lab equipment.
Maintain flexible schedule to meet changing job demands.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area.
