Description:
King University, a Christian liberal arts college founded in the Presbyterian tradition, invites applications to fill a one-year position of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences. This is a full-time, twelve-month position, beginning in Fall 2022. The teaching load is 24 credit hours per year, which will typically consist of three 4-semester hour courses per semester of either face-to-face or online courses. This position is based at King’s Bristol campus in the beautiful foothills of northeast Tennessee. A national search for a renewal position to begin in Fall 2023 will be conducted during the 2022-23 academic year. The qualified candidate filling the one-year position will be encouraged to apply for the renewal position.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s Degree in Mathematics is required. For the renewal position beginning in Fall 2023, a Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics is required.
Responsibilities:
The one-year position calls for the ability to teach primarily either face-to-face or online sections of elementary Statistics. The renewal position beginning in Fall 2023 calls for the ability to teach a wide variety of undergraduate mathematics courses at all levels, including online courses.
