We are recruiting for a Graduate Intern to join our highly regarded Student Wellbeing Services for a period of up to 28 weeks to cover the secondment of the current postholder. You will have a complex role in supporting the three Student Wellbeing teams (Mental Health, Counselling and Pastoral & Spiritual Support) who offer support to students in a timely fashion, at the time of need. The role is fast paced and varied; duties include providing extensive administrative support but you will also assist us in developing the support we provide our student population in a wide range of different areas. This may include awareness-raising campaigns and events (particularly marketing and promotion of the department including social media) as well as designing online content. The role may include student facing work. You will receive ongoing mentorship by a member of the Mental Health team. This is to help you develop skills such as risk management, prioritising risk, wellbeing and mental health awareness whilst supporting you in the different challenges you may face in the role. The role will give opportunity to acquire a skillset of competences that would prepare you for a future career in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. We invite applications from recent graduates who have a passion for mental health and wellbeing. Ideally you will also have some knowledge of student support within Higher Education. We're looking for candidates who are able to help us to deliver a student-focused, professional, friendly and efficient student service. You will be used to working with a variety of systems (including Microsoft Office, Excel) to accurately collate, input, investigate and maintain accurate data reports. You will be competent in the use of social media and how to use this to promote campaigns and messages.
