Temporary summer position. Kids West is open from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Summer substitute positions could vary from morning hours to afternoon hours to mid-day hours. Kids West staff members needing a substitute call their own subs. Minimum age to work for Kids West is 16. Staff provide a positive, supportive, consistent and safe environment for the children. Must attend a staff training and complete required online staff development trainings before being able to sub. A current physical with a TB test is also required before being able to sub. Other duties include preparing breakfast and snack, cleaning responsibilities such as washing tables, sweeping floors, taking out trash, etc. Must be prompt and dependable. Good communication skills are required as well as the ability to speak with parents, children and other staff members on a regular basis. Need to be able to follow safety rules and regulations and document any injuries or behavior concerns. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic people who are able to be active and mobile. Experience working with school-age children preferred.
Must have a pre-employment physical. Must complete Blood Borne Pathogens, Right to Know, Mandatory Reporter and Safe Schools before working with children. Must attend CPR/FA training.
