Director of Football Recruiting
in the
Athletics Department
. This position will coordinate all recruiting activities for the football program, such as recruiting coordination, general recruiting responsibilities, official and unofficial visits, summer camp coordination, budget, and clinic responsibilities. The Director of Recruiting will report directly to the Head Football Coach, and will be responsible for the supervision of student employees.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Coordinate master recruiting calendar
Coordinate recruiting areas with assistant coaches
Organize and administer all recruiting correspondence
Work with assistant coaches on itineraries
Prepare expense reports for recruiting
Recruit, train and manage office student employees
Research recruiting software
Purchase and update prospective student-athlete database
Research other university recruiting materials
Prepare all materials needed for staff recruiting meetings
Work with primary recruiting coach as staff liaison
Prepare current and future recruiting plans
Coordinate all records on contacts, phone calls, logs, folders
Manage and update college and high school recruiting boards
Organize recruit evaluations and offer lists
Develop and maintain in-state high school relations along with in-state recruiters and Head Coach
Assist staff with NCAA compliance
Maintain and update recruiting materials (binders, correspondence, edits social media)
Main point of contact when coaches are out of the office
Prepare mailers to schools, coaches, prospects
Monitor recruiting activities of peer programs (commits, offers, mailings)
Manage and coordinate all aspects of official & unofficial visits
Maintain accurate records: travel forms, transcripts, test scores
Arrange travel, meals, ground transportation, hotel, hosts
Develop itineraries for visits: academic appointments, meetings with University personnel, tours
Manage game day: tickets/admission for prospects, parents, high school coaches, pre-game functions, post-game duties
Track and host prospects at practice
Recruit, train and manage student employees
Obtain and maintain knowledge of all prospects at camps
Ensure coaches evaluate the prospects
Compile evaluation data
Monitor recruiting budget
Purchase needed recruiting materials
Organize spring clinic
Serve as liaison to Montana high school summer clinic
Athletic Department employees and those University employees outside the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance responsibilities are subject at all times to NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE (Football staff employment term is February 1-January 31), Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package

Required Skills
Proficient knowledge of and experience with ARMS software
Knowledge of NCAA Bylaw 13
Very high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to handle stress
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
Possess strong organizational skills
Ability to work with a wide variety of people and strong personalities
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Two (2) years of experience in a Division I college football recruiting office
Preferred Qualifications
General knowledge of recruiting the Pacific Northwest
Proficient with Microsoft Office
