Harrsion Medical Center is seeking experienced RN's that would like to transition into our Intensive Care Unit. The Versant Residency Registered Nurse Transition program is a 12 week orientation designed to help the experienced RN's that have not worked in Critical Care make a smooth transition to be a professional member of our health-care team. Residents receive classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience under the mentorship of an experienced RN. The Nurse Residency Program is tailored to the skills and knowledge requirements of the unit in which nurses are hired.


The ICU at Harrison is a Beacon Award winning 20 bed multi-specialty unit including Cardiothoracic surgery, Intra Aortic Ballon Pumps, LVAD, CCRT. They offer 12 hour shifts with scheduling flexibility. Team based/open scheduling. 24/7 on-site Intensivist. Staff-Led Shared Goverance Counsel.


Essential Duties:


•Provides continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and intervention.

•Initiates and titrates multiple, complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.

•Manages intubated/mechanically ventilated patients.

•Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.

•Manages acute trauma patients.','!*!Job Requirements:

•Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred. 

•Previous PCU/ICU experience preferred or

•1-2 years med/surg experience required

•Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

•Current Healthcare BLS Certification.

•Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or attainment within six months of hire.

•CCRN/Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) preferred.
