Position Description
The School of Applied Sciences at The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking applications for Assistant Professor of Public Health and Data Analytics Statistician for the Institute of Child Nutrition. This is a twelve-month, tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor with an administrative research appointment in the Institute of Child Nutrition. The successful candidate may begin as early as January 2022.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach one or two undergraduate- and graduate-level Public Health courses per semester. The individual, in collaboration with staff at the Institute of Child Nutrition, will develop and implement a new Office of Data Analytics. The Office of Data Analytics will support ICN's Applied Research Division (ARD) to provide advanced support to the ARD researchers on research design and statistical approaches, requirements, and scientific standards. Additionally, this position will provide guidance and assistance with concept development, monitoring, and reporting of multiple ongoing training and research projects. The hire will work with project teams to implement and optimize research methodology, organization, management, analysis, visualization and presentation of data from large data sets. The Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN), part of the School of Applied Sciences, is the only federally funded national center dedicated to applied research, education and training, and technical assistance for child nutrition programs. The Institute was established by Congress in the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 1989. The Institute's mission is to provide relevant research-based information and services that advance the continuous improvement of child nutrition programs across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Public Health with expertise in Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Data Analytics or Data Science. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated strong skills in project management, contribution to multiple projects, customer service, verbal and written communication, time management, organization, and experience with education/training.
