The Center for Disability Services offers hope, innovation and achievement to the people we support.For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.Assist the PE teachers with activities designed to address student’s needs as outlined on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Duties may include preparing materials, direct instruction of students, and custodial care of students. A component of the PE program is swim class and this position requires the staff to be in the pool.   High School Diploma or GED required; college credits preferred.  Less than 1 year of job related experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is acceptable.  Must obtain NYS Teaching  Assistant Certification within one year of hire and maintain the certification during the course of employment.  Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position.
