Founded in 2016, we operate with the knowledge that higher education programs are among the best ways to offer opportunities to individuals who are incarcerated as well as fostering a community for people once they are free. Equally important, we encourage public dialogue and action to decarcerate and reduce our stateu0026rsquo;s and countryu0026rsquo;s reliance on punishment as a solution to social inequities. IL-CHEP is a project of Adler Universityu0026rsquo;s Institute of Public Safety and Social Justice.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eJob Overviewu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eUnder the general guidance of the Executive Director of IPSSJ, the Administrative Director for the Illinois Coalition for Higher Education in Prisonu0026nbsp;(IL-CHEP) will provide administrative support and project coordination and oversight to IL-CHEP committees. With the support of the Steering Committee, the Administrative Director will develop and implement systems and policies related to financial management, budgeting, reporting, etc. The Administrative Director provides thought-leadership to the university while leveraging industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the Institute of Public Safety and Social Justice Department and the institution.
