General Description of Position:
The responsibilities of an Academic Staff Recruiter include creating recruitment strategies for hiring academic talent that meets or exceeds a college’s expectations. Partner with hiring managers and human resources team members to help them determine their needs. Other duties include screening, recruiting the most suitable candidates. Expectation to communicate the college’s culture, values, and offerings in a compelling way. Work with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communication to develop marketing campaigns, including email strategies, information sessions, and networking events, to ensure the college is present and known to potential candidates. Run metrics of open positions on a regular basis and track which marketing avenues are providing the best leads.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform recruitment and search coordination services to attract quality candidates for the institution, including initial strategy meetings with department managers to discuss recruitment needs and strategies to ensure a highly qualified and diverse applicant pool.
Assist departments and search committees to recruit internal and external candidates by sourcing positions in print media, websites, direct mailings and implements other sourcing activities.
Attend community job fairs or recruitment events as well as area colleges and universities to recruit for Ivy Tech faculty and staff opportunities.
Maintains strong relationships with departmental leadership to ensure a clear understanding of the department’s direction and remains informed on best practices in matching applicants to institutional needs.
Maintain a communication log.
Communicate clearly and effectively across multiple platforms including but not limited to telephone, Zoom, emails and face-to-face.
To ensure Safer Recruitment guidelines are adhered to throughout all aspects of the process.
Abide by all the College’s policies and procedures, ensuring that Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment practices are implemented throughout every stage of the recruitment process.
Conduct phone screens, virtual, and in-person interviews.
To provide weekly metric reports to the Director of Academic Recruitment and Development.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required with one (1) to three (3) years' related work experience
Associate degree or industry related certification along with three (3) to four (4) years' related work experience.
