The Physical Therapist Assistant Clinical Coordinator is a physical therapist assistant or physical therapist whose major area of responsibility is coordination of the clinical education with the didactic education and evaluation of the clinical education effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education centers, as well as classroom teaching responsibilities. The Clinical Coordinator collaborates with faculty, college and clinical sites to place students in clinical experiences, to evaluate learning experiences and serves as liaison to clinical sites. Orientation, direction and guidance is provided for the clinical site instructors. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and learning materials for instructional activities in the labs, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory and equipment as needed, and documentation of satisfactory student performance based upon the criteria stipulated by faculty; assistance with the marketing of health careers in the community.
Requirements:
Required:
Minimum of an associates degree for physical therapist assistant or baccalaureate degree for physical therapist, masters preferred for physical therapist.
Licensure as PT or PTA with eligibility to practice in Maryland.
Four years full-time experience in the professional discipline.
Preferred:
One year full-time experience as an instructor, preferred.
Experience in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling.
