Job Description:
The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York is seeking applicants for a Lecturer in Information Systems position in the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics.The position begins in the Fall semester of 2022. The Lecturer will be expected to perform teaching and related faculty functions in the area of Information Systems. The Lecturer will also be expected to participate in in Baruch’s “Inclusive Pedagogy” workshop and CUNY’s “Innovative Teaching Academy”.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
Other Qualifications:
At least a Master’s degree (though preference will be given to applicants with PhD or DBA degrees in Information Systems or related areas) and the ability to teach successfully. Candidates must be able to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching in at least two of the three modalities of in-person, hybrid, and online-only.
Preference will be given to applicants who can teach a variety of courses in the department, including, but not limited to, Introduction to IS, Database Design, Programming with C and Python, Data Mining and other courses in Information Systems. Preference will also be given to applicants who demonstrate the ability to perform faculty-related administrative or other service work within the department. Research in the scholarship of teaching and learning, especially as it relates to the specific discipline, is encouraged (although not required).
