Assistant Director of Marketing
to join their team. This position has four major job functions: 1) director of marketing for the sports of women's basketball, volleyball and softball and assistant marketing director for football and men's basketball 2) serve as Griz Marketing intern team coordinator 3) Serve as the Donations & Griz Vision Announcements coordinator; working with compliance to ensure all donation requests are allowable and working with requestors to fulfill donation requests and managing the marketing of Griz Vision announcements and overseeing the invoicing and creation of the video board feature for all home football games and 4) This position is the main point of contact responsible for managing and scheduling email communication and radio advertising.
In the role as marketing director for women's basketball, volleyball and softball, this position works independently and has the authority to make decisions on the direction for those programs. The person in this position sets timelines- short-term and long-term goals- for those areas. In the development of those goals, the primary focus is to creatively increase the public's exposure to assigned sports That in turn raises awareness of Grizzly Athletics in general, and the broader University campus. This position will be responsible for cleverly and resourcefully marketing and promoting the teams and games/events associated with the team in addition to managing the game day experience for assigned sports, including but not limited to music, promotions and video board oversight.
As the assistant marketing director in the sports of football and men's basketball, this position assists the Director with game day operations in those sports. The person in this position works collaboratively with the Director to create the best game day experience for our fans and student-athletes. As described below in the major job functions, there are certain marketing/game day functions in these sports assigned specifically to this position.
Secondary functions:
Email Newsletters: This position will assist the Director as needed with content and graphic design for eblasts.
Web Content: This position will assist with gogriz.com updates as needed.
Athletic Department employees and those University employees outside the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance responsibilities are subject at all times to NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. Failure to conduct oneself as such will result in disciplinary or corrective action up to and including immediate discharge.
As the Griz Marketing intern team coordinator, this position is responsible for recruitment and hiring of all student interns and assigns and supervises marketing interns for all events and delegates tasks to student event staff workers. This position is responsible for managing and assigning projects for interns to complete during office hours.

Position Details

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree

At least three (3) years working in a D1 intercollegiate athletic or professional sports organization
