Description:
King University School of Nursing is accepting applications for an adjunct Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) faculty. This position, for a new concentration, will include course development for AGACNP concentration courses. The successful candidate will hold an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification, and be able to be able to teach and develop AGACNP content specific courses. Nursing faculty work as a team to ensure student success and provide a supportive student environment. All adjunct nursing faculty must be committed to excellent teaching and mentoring students.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold at least an MSN from an accredited nursing program; AGACNP Certification required; Unencumbered APRN licensure in TN or eligible; RN licensure in TN or compact multistate or eligible; experience in AGACNP practice; excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the usage of technology; The candidate must have and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and support the mission of King University.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants holding an earned DNP or PhD; Previous teaching experience in higher education in online environment; Supervision of students in clinical settings; Experience with course development; Knowledge of NONPF and CCNE accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Course development of AGACNP content specific courses, and teaching in the online format.
