Job Description:
The Department of Political Science and Global Affairs
at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking to fill a tenure-track position for an assistant professor, with a specialization in the field of American politics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Responsibilities:
· Teach undergraduate courses in American politics and related fields. Candidates also qualified to teach in the graduate Master's in Public Administration Program
are preferred.
· Develop and maintain an active research agenda in American politics.
· Contribute to the development and growth of the Department, including the recruiting, retention, and mentoring of majors.
· Engage in professional and scholarly activities, including the publication of research and presentations at conferences.
· Provide service to the Department, College, University, and the broader campus community.
Requirements:
· Ph.D. in Political Science
· Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, including using evidence-based teaching techniques, focusing on developing higher-order skills, and making effective use of technology.
· Evidence of research activities and the potential to maintain a productive research agenda
· The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a dynamic and supportive culture
