CHI Health Pharmacy Regional Clinical Coordinator and Regional Pharmacy Operations.
This position together with the Regional Pharmacy Director, Regional Pharmacy Operations Coordinator, and Regional Pharmacy Automation/Inventory Coordinator make up the Regional Pharmacy leadership team that are directly responsible for all pharmacy department functions within the CHI Health region. Responsible for surveillance and improvement of drug procurement processes for pharmaceuticals and optimization of inventory in facility automated dispensing cabinets. They will also interact and support process to provide the most accurate medication information for our reimbursement teams. Communicates with and manages activities of facility buyers to drive standardization and optimize pharmacy services across CHI Health. Orients, trains and provides input in the evaluation process for regional pharmacy team and facility clinical coordinators.
Essential Functions
Work with the CHI National Pharmacy Team to develop programs and strategies to manage emerging drug therapies to allow CHI and CHI Health to provide evidenced based and value based care for the patients we serve. This includes and is not limited formulary management and SKU reduction, national initiatives, therapeutic interchanges and alternatives.
This role will be specifically accountable for optimizing inventory management and contract compliance processes, optimizing UBC and other distribution technology processes and pharmacy workflow for the Region with guidance and direction from CHI corporate pharmacy team in an effort to reduce supply cost, improve labor utilization, as well as improve utilization trends using evidence based best medication management practices.
Serve as a regional contact with consultants on pharmacy related work.
Accountable for implement processes for developing and sharing organization-wide medication use standardization within their region.
Reviews and insures contract compliance with all pharmacy operations, inpatient to insure best pricing options are achieved.
Develops, coordinates, and manages operating systems and operational standardization, service standards, approaches, policies across the CHI Health System','!*!Experience
Five years of experience in Pharmacy preferred
Five years of experience in pharmacy purchasing practices preferred
Five years of experience in supply chain and contract management preferred
Education/Licensure
