Special Projects Manager
to join their team. Working under the direct supervision of the Interim Director of Admissions, the individual assigned to this position will be responsible for formulating, organizing, leading and implementing projects and events specifically aimed at enhancing areas of improvement for the enrollment enterprise of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Responsibilities associated with this position include management and oversight of complex projects specifically developed in support of the overarching goals and objectives of the Admissions Department (including the oversight of personnel and financial resources dedicated as a part of said projects); The person assigned to this position will not only be responsible for ensuring the effective execution initiatives expressly aimed at increasing new student enrollment, but will be charged with formulation of said projects (in collaboration with the Interim Director of Admissions) to the extent that the person assigned to this role will have the ability to commit the department, and thereby UM, to a specific course of action relative to resource allotment and formulation of best practices involving said projects and activities.
The projects and events overseen by the person assuming this role often occur outside of traditional business hours, including events scheduled on weekends, evenings, and holidays with the intention of attracting or retaining students and increasing enrollment at the institution. It is expected that the person assigned to this role
will be willing and available to meet this business need, as supervision of these special projects is an essential component of the position.
This role will work closely with enrollment and marketing leads to formulate and support strategic initiatives intended to increase student enrollment at the University. The individual assigned to this position must collaborate with key stakeholders all stages of the analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation process, to ensure quantifiable, measurable outcomes are achieved as a result of the projects and events overseen by the position.

Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment, and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package

Salary for this position is $40,019 per year commensurate with qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field, as well as at least two (2) years directly related professional work experience or any combination of experience and education that would provide the competencies required to successfully discharge the essential duties assigned
Self-motivation, impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
Able to adapt to constant requests, inquiries and interpretations with patience and diplomacy
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and an effective listener
Must be able to establish and maintain working relationships and clearly communicate with others
Commitment/sensitivity to international/cross-cultural exchange; appreciation for and interest in diverse cultures and customs
Highly effective counseling and recruiting abilities
Ability to work as a part of a team and able to collaborate with colleagues
General knowledge of international educational systems and international admission policies and practices
Working knowledge of MS Office, electronic technology/social media
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with academic programs and student services provided by institutions of higher education
Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment trends and experience in domestic recruitment practices and procedures
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with prospective students and their families

Experience managing/supervising or providing lead work direction to other staff
Experience developing a multiyear recruitment plan and to execute short term recruitment plans
Possess project and program management skills
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations and other institutions
Demonstrated knowledge of or the ability to learn effective marketing strategies; ability to present materials to the intended audience
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as needed
Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana’s Driver’s License
Must be able to travel for extended periods of time
