About the Department

The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. The Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the 15 winningest programs all-time, while the football team became the first American Athletic Conference program to compete in the College Football Playoff in 2021. Job Overview
Serve as resource and provide education on performance based nutritional practices to student-athletes, coaches, and peers in assigned sports while following all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.
Essential Functions
Assist in the operation of the fuel station through product inventory, ordering and distribution.
Assist the coordination of menus and dining hall operations.
Coordinate and prepare pre-, post-, and intra-nutrition for assigned sports.
Travel with assigned sports to coordinate nutritional related needs and assist with travel recommendations.
Evaluate nutritional supplements for legality, safety, quality, and efficacy.
Educate student-athletes, coaches, and peers about performance-based nutrition focused on weight management, recovery, hydration, travel, and supplementation.
Maintain up to date on all current nutrition related research.
Provide guidance and serve as mentor to student interns.
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in clinical nutrition, health/exercise science or nutrition/dietetics field.
Required Experience
One (1) year of experience working with a NCAA DI program in a student/intern capacity.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
Ability to travel with teams. Some nights and weekends may be required.
