Research and Creative Industries (RCI), within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business are looking to appoint an experienced, highly skilled Administrator. The team provides administrative support for all research and creative industry activity within the Faculty. This includes but is not exclusive to our Knowledge Exchange initiatives, The Arts Institute public programme; external research projects; the Research Excellence Framework and the general research environment across the Faculty. The post is full time, for an initial fixed-term period until 31/7/22, pending the outcome of a strategic review. This is a busy and crucial role where you will work with a broad range of stakeholders across the Faculty organising events, visits and meetings (including supporting the Chairs / meeting organisers both prior-to and following meetings), co-ordinating calendars, minute taking, processing finances and supporting the smooth running of the wider team. We are looking for an ambitious candidate who sees this as a way of developing their career and to support this we offer the opportunity for personal development and access to a mentoring scheme as part of the role. As a key member of our team we are looking for a candidate who is: a highly skilled and experienced administrator who can evidence working in a proactive capacity. an excellent planner and organiser who can confidently liaise with internal and external stakeholders. skilled in understanding context and recognises the impact and interdependencies of projects. a skilful and confident communicator with excellent IT skills. able to demonstrate a professional approach and be able work both as part of a team and use their own initiative.
