The Department of Geography and Planning is recruiting a PDRA (0.8 fte) to work on supply chain modelling for the sustainable North-East Atlantic fisheries and aquaculture to work as part of the NEPTUNUS project neptunus-project.eu
 which is an InterReg sponsored programme working on sustainability in the Atlantic seafood and aquatic industries. The project runs until the end of 2022. It is based around the transition to a circular economy. It seeks to balance environmental factors with the social and economic challenges. The Management School has a value chain model that has been used for agricultural products and is partly scoped to be adapted for using with fisheries. Here we need learn how to maximise the sustainability, improve nutrition quality, and reduce waste and still return a profitable bottom-line. You will be expected to search for relevant literature and data sets. You will have access to relevant fisheries data collected by other partners in the project. You will work closely with collaborators in the Management School. You will join a vibrant research group ( ****). We particularly welcome applications from scholars who identify with groups who continue to be underrepresented and who face barriers to inclusion in higher education and/or who are from Majority World or any related diaspora.
