Job Overview
UC Blue Ash is a regional college with an enrollment of approximately 4,500 students and more than 250 employees. It is located on a scenic, 135-acre wooded campus in the heart of Blue Ash, Ohio. The college is a recipient of the Cincinnati Business Courier 2021 Best Places to Work award.

The Program Manager for Career Services is responsible for developing and expanding Co-Op/internship opportunities at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Blue Ash College. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, the Program Manager for Career Services is responsible for seeking student involvement in Co-Ops/internships, and part-time and full-time job opportunities. Responsibilities of this position include: designing Co-Op/internship education for students and employers, finding and developing opportunities with employers, managing the employee and employer database and online recruitment tool Handshake', vetting of Co-Op/internship sites, assisting students to find Co-Ops/internships and employment opportunities, and implementing and managing career and Co-Op/internship programs, events and services. The Program Manager may be responsible for teaching a professional development and/or Co-Op/internship course(s) annually (up to 2 courses totaling 3 credit hours per semester.) To be effective in this position, the candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated problem solver who works effectively and collaboratively with staff and faculty members from around campus and throughout the university.

Essential Functions
Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
Implement policies and procedures.
Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree.
Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of experience in program development or business administration.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Master's Degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs, Organizational Leadership, Communications, Psychology or a related/similar field and professional experience in working with college students in a higher education setting.
Experience working in career development, college internships or co-op programs, and/or recruitment.
Experience teaching at the collegiate level.
Demonstrated experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse students or populations preferably in a college or university setting.
Ability to create partnerships in university and surrounding local communities.
Demonstrated program/event planning and management experience.
Collaborative and team building approach.
Innovative approach to career development.
Comfortable with the use of technology including Microsoft Office applications and social media.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
