SUMMARY
TEMPORARY One-Year Position 
Global Asset Technologies (GAT), a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., is currently seeking a qualified
Technical Instructor
to provide support to Task Force Marshall at Camp McCrady, SC. The objective of this Task Force Marshall contract is to supplement the battalion structure with contracted employees that help ensure the battalion meets all obligations and trainees are documented with having safe and proper training.
GAT’s Task Force Marshall support includes but is not limited to the processing, administrative functions, and any other function necessary to train USAR and United States Navy Individual Augmentees (NIACT). Areas covered are Operations, Planning, Training, Logistics / Supply, Human Resources. Services include operation of Ammunition Holding Area; delivery of ammunition; continuity support between rotations of units assigned to Task Force Marshall; support functions that allow the Drill Sergeants to focus on training of Sailors; training/instructing functions to augment Drill Sergeants; staff functions that augment the battalion planning, coordination, and tracking; operation of the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) 2000. The employee may be required to meet increased support personnel requirements (surge) or decrease support personnel requirements based on the Government’s projected workload. Different intervals of surge and lull may occur at the training during the year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructors will conduct NIACT training.  This may require work outside normal duty hours, including 24-hour operations and shift work
Be responsible for operations of all small arms qualification ranges and heavy weapon familiarization ranges for mobilizing Students and serve as the functioning expert on all required weapons systems
Be responsible for submission of training ammunition forecasts, requirements and request form(s) for individual weapons qualification to the appropriate agency for the purpose of procuring and transporting ammunition to the range.
Coordinate with installation training ammunition (DPTM-TIMD) Ammunition Supply Point (DOL), USARC and other headquarters and agencies to ensure all accounts are authorized/allocated the required ammunition for student pre-mobilization training and Cadre training requirements.
Prepare DA Form 581 for all ammunition required for training.
Be responsible for the recording of training data reporting databases as required in the Basic Student and Training Record Databases.
Monitor training and mobilization readiness, training regulations and support, and submitting training schedules IAW training directives, guidance and publications from higher HQ.
Provide Cadre and Staff with all copies of training rosters and scorecards for the units training records and forward copies to the Cadre/Staff parent USAR Unit.
Be responsible for scheduling and maintaining training requirements for NIACT and Cadre/Staff IAW the NIACT POI.
Coordinate for training aids for students from TASC as required, and issue training aids to students that the Contractor maintains from TASC and other sources.
Prepare and facilitate training briefings to include setup of automation equipment to support briefing (i.e. Computer system, screen projector, etc.)
Provide instruction on various CTT (various skill levels) tasks related to: Rules of Engagement, communications (SINGARS), Land Navigation, Convoy Operations, TCCC, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) recognition and reaction, Forward Operating Base (FOB) reactionary drills,  CBRN , guard duty, cultural awareness, and weapons awareness reinforcement program.
Provide supplemental range support personnel to conduct range weapons qualification operations for NIACT classes and all range support personnel for Staff/Cadre ranges. All qualifications are done according to US Navy NIACT POI and applicable regulations.
Ability to be responsible for range operations to include operation and duties of the tower, range cadre safety and ammunition point detail.
Assist with range detail to include but not limited to ammunition magazine loading, range set-up, breakdown and cleanup.
Effectively train Soldiers and Sailors as well as participate as OPFOR or other roles necessary to effectively conduct the Urban Operations and Convoy Survivability operations.
Train Soldiers and Sailors in the concepts, processes and procedures relating to the application of First Aid and Buddy Aid IAW the current NIACT POI and must be certified in TCCC.
Support instructor personnel shortages and heavy training days (i.e. Ranges, Convoy Ops., etc.).
Transport student personnel and or equipment in commercial vehicles (i.e. Buses, up to but not limited to a 15 Ton) to and from training areas and events. Instructors shall possess the appropriate license for the type of vehicle used.
Conduct training on the associated blocks of instruction for the individual weapons qualification which includes the M9 Pistol (FM 3-23.35), M16/M4 Rifle (FM 3-22.9), M249 Machine Gun (FM23-14 (familiarization only live fire)), M240B Machine Gun (FM3-22.68(familiarization only live fire)), M2 Machine Gun (50 Cal) (FM 3- 22.65(familiarization only live fire)). The standards for qualification requirements shall be followed as outlined in the POI.
Meet all medical support requirements IAW Fort Jackson Regulation 350-6. M4, M249/M240B, M2A1, and M9 ranges require the presence of a Combat Lifesaver (CLS) with first aid bag, and any type of  Government vehicle to transport a minor injury to medical care.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Must be a US Citizen
Possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license, applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated to include Class B/P CDL
Must be able to pass a security screening
Must be able to articulate, speak, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Completion of Drill Sergeant School and/or Small Group Instructor Training Course in Active Duty or Reserve Component IAW the FY07 SMDR GOSC.
Ft Jackson Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification is required.
Combat lifesaver certified. 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.
Be able to operate a Personal Computer with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work. Be able to troubleshoot common computer hardware & software problems.
Have a working knowledge of Army and Navy rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc. and Navy equivalents)
Have a working knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 thru 500-3-5.
Instructor personnel shall be familiar with and certify proficiency in all Urban Ops/Convoy Ops and Stress and Reflexive Fire tasks IAW the current NIACT POI as well as a certified Range Safety Officer (RSO).
Instructor personnel shall be familiar with and certify proficiency in all first aid tasks and certified in Tactical Casualty Combat Care (TCCC), IAW the current NIACT POI.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of US small arms weapons systems. Demonstrated knowledge of Army doctrine and training principles as outlined in FMs 3.0., 7.0, 22-100, and 5-19.
Proficient in Warrior Leader Skills Levels 1-3.
Be proficient with the associated blocks of instruction for the individual weapons qualification which includes the M9 Pistol (FM 3-23.35 COMBAT TRAINING WITH PISTOLS, M9 AND M11), M16/M4 Rifle (FM 3-22.9 RIFLE MARKSMANSHIP M16-/M4-SERIES WEAPONS), M249 Machine Gun (FM23-14(familiarization only live fire)), M240B Machine Gun (FM3- 22.68 CREW-SERVED MACHINE GUNS 5.56mm AND 7.62mm), M2 Machine Gun (50 Cal) (FM 3-22.65 BROWNING MACHINE GUN, CALIBER .50 HB, M2). The standards for qualification requirements shall be followed as outlined in the POI.
EST Operator personnel shall possess an advanced working knowledge of the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) 2 to include the following scenarios:  Basic Rifle Marksmanship Training, Remedial Marksmanship Training, Individual and Unit Sustainment Training, Tactical Collective Training and Shoot/No Shoot, Low Light and Rules of Engagement.
Be familiar with combat lifesaving techniques to include needle chest decompression, tension, pneumothorax, arterial bleeding and all other normal and abnormal injuries that may occur on the battlefield or in everyday lifesaving situations.
Preferred
Quality assurance certification preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical
shock. The noise include being outside in the elements including hot and cold for long periods of time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
