Job Description:
Provide literacy/math assessments and targeted small group reading/math instruction.
Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate aspects of assessment & academic support and instruction, and planning for STAR Testing administration
Meet with classroom teachers to share observations/data and monitor academic growth for students receiving intervention
Consult with teachers regarding instruction, assessment and progress monitoring
Identify students who need additional support/intervention; develop individualized strategies
Lead small, targeted literacy and/or math groups daily
Communicate clear expectations and provide feedback on student progress to administration, teachers, and classroom staff as well as families
Write/assist teachers in preparing and/or writing student reports
Collect and review progress monitoring data for students receiving intervention
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred
3 or more years working as a reading/math interventionist, specialist, or schoolteacher
Thorough understanding of best practices for reading and/or math instruction based on current research
Ability to teach all aspects of literacy and mathematics
Ability to administer and interpret assessments and interventions, and group students for instruction based on the findings; share data with teaching staff and assist staff in gaining relevant insights about students

Seasonal - Mornings only (8am - 12:30pm)

Trainings generally run 9am - 4pm, Program days are 8am - 4pm
