u003cpu003eAdler U is currently seeking an Associate Chair for its Department of Counseling Integrated Programs (CIP) for Fall 2021. u003cbr /u003eUnder the general guidance of the Counseling Integrated Programs Department Chair, the Online Associate Chair provides thought-leadership to the university while leveraging industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the Department of Counseling and Integrated Programs in the development, coordination, and implementation of online curriculum and delivery of online courses.u0026nbsp;The CIP Online Associate Chair oversees the quality of student online learning experience and provides support for department faculty online instruction. The position will have both administrative and teaching duties and reports to the Department Chair.u003c/pu003enu003ch4u003eu003cstrongu003eQualificationsu003c/strongu003eu003c/h4u003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eEducation/Experience:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eA Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program is required.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eMinimum of three (3) years of experiences in online teaching and curriculum development, advisement and coordinating supportive services to diverse student needs.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eExpertise in program administration and assessment, and oversight of faculty teaching.u003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eCertifications/Licenses: u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eEligible for Illinois Licensure and become licensed by the end of the first year of employment. In addition, faculty engage in student learning assessment activities, as well as participate in professional development activities. Full time faculty are expected to maintain a research agenda which includes chairing dissertations as well as serving as dissertation committee members.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eu003cemu003eScholarship/Research:u003c/emu003eu003cbr /u003eu003c/strongu003eFaculty members are expected to engage in scholarship activities, which may include submissions to peer-review journals or professional and/or lay readership publications; present at academic and professional conferences; and develop and deliver professional workshops and training programs for professionals.u0026nbsp; Active engagement in ongoing research projects and other scholarly pursuits is encouraged.u0026nbsp; Scholarship is broadly defined and consistent with our practitioner model and socially responsible practice focus.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eu003cemu003eService:u003c/emu003eu003cbr /u003eu003c/strongu003eFaculty members are expected to serve on committees at the campus, department, and professional level.
