Howard Community College is seeking candidates with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching college-level and developmental writing and with advanced skills in instructional technology for a full-time, 10-month faculty position beginning August 2014.
Requirements:
The position requires a Master’s degree in English (or a related field), community college and/or university teaching experience, and proficiency in instructional technology and pedagogy, including learning management systems.
Criteria include strong evidence of teaching excellence, demonstrated commitment to the community college mission, practical experience with First Year Experience principles, and an ability to work collaboratively within the English Department and across departments. Ideal candidates are committed to serving a diverse student population and are interested in academic leadership opportunities.
