Position Description:
The Chair of Primary Care Services will be responsible for providing leadership to physicians and other clinical providers of Valley Medical Group (VMG) Primary Care service.  The Chair will work collaboratively to ensure the success of the Primary Care Service Line.  This will include primary responsibility for delivery of clinical services including clinical cost management, utilization, quality assurance, patient access, evidence-based medicine initiatives, medical protocol development, EHR implementation and system-based practice initiatives.  The Chair will be responsible for establishing partnerships and other formal relationships with members of The Valley Hospital (TVH), Medical Staff, Independent employees that is consistent with the mission and vision of Valley Medical Group and The Valley Hospital.  The Chair will develop and implement a strategic plan for Primary Care Services that is concordant with that of the Medical Group and Hospital.  The Chair will play an active role in philanthropic development. The position is responsible for the clinical excellence of the primary care services and for developing programs aimed at population health management. 
Position Requirement
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy required. Master’s degree in business, health services management or public health preferred
Board Certification in Family Medicine required
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice having demonstrated. Strong leadership, management and collaboration skills
NJ State Medical License Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey required.
BLS required and ACLS certification preferred.
