The Physics Department
at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a highly qualified individual for a Lecturer position. This is a nine-month, non-tenure track appointment. There will be opportunities for additional salary for summer teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to: (1) teach introductory undergraduate courses in physics, (2) interact with other faculty and staff to contribute to current and future innovative pedagogical efforts in undergraduate teaching, and (3) supervise graduate teaching assistants. Opportunities to teach more advanced courses will be available based up on appropriate qualifications.

The Department of Physics at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. consists of 25 faculty, approximately 50 graduate students and 50 undergraduate physics majors. About 2,000 students are taught introductory physics each semester. The department cares deeply about teaching and learning and uses evidence-based research to drive improvements in classroom best practices. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess a M.S. or equivalent degree in Physics or a related field at the time the appointment begins. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Desired Qualifications
Ph.D.or equivalent degree in Physics or related field is desired. Experience in physics education research (
PER
), lecture demonstration activities, and teaching large lecture classes is desirable.
