The Clinical Education National Director will directly lead a team of clinicians educating all PCO clinicians on VBC best practices and efficiencies spanning multiple regions and teams where CenterWell and/or Conviva serve patients
Responsibilities
The Clinical Education National Director role will lead, collaborate, and train clinical personnel across the Primary Care Organization focused on the care team approach to quality based senior focused medicine and new market implementation. The Clinical Education National Director serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on clinical value-based care practices and responsible for building and maintaining training content for the Primary Care University. The Clinical Education National Director is responsible for teaching best practices in documenting and treating chronic diseases appropriately as well as EMR role-based training comprehension, EMR tips and tricks, coding oversight, Value Based Care principles, dashboard reports, HEDIS and Quality, Incentives and chart reviews. This role will require 30% work travel to different expansion markets for onboarding and mentor clinicians. The clinical Education National Director will collaborate and effectively partner with the learning and design organization, the role-based training team, clinical concierge onboarding team, coding and quality team, analytics team, market expansion team, clinical and market leaders to ensure success. This role and team have a passion for learning and education that drives outcomes and success in the organization.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree
5 or more years of management experience
A current and unrestricted license in at least one jurisdiction and willing to obtain license, as required, for various states in region of assignment
MD or DO degree
Board Certified in an approved ABMS Medical Specialty
Excellent communication skills
5 years of established clinical experience
Knowledge of the managed care industry including Medicare, Medicaid and or Commercial products
Possess analysis and interpretation skills with prior experience leading teams focusing on quality management, utilization management, discharge planning and/or home health or rehab
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Medical staff leadership experience for a large provider group practice, physician practice management organization, hospital/hospital system, or an MCO (preferably with a physician group practice component)
Strong knowledge of MA coding and documentation policies and procedures in a value-based relationship
Technology savy in the electronic medical record system
Experience working with physicians to strategize and develop measurable improvements the quality of clinical care and patient satisfaction
Medical quality and performance improvement experience
Utilization review experience
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications.
Experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients with understanding of Best Practice in coordinated care environment in a value-based relationship environment.
Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
Plan, organize, and supervise training for Primary Care Physicians and extenders.
Responsible for medical interpretation, reviews, and decisions as required for plan administration.
Oversee the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures, systems, programs and standards for health care services.
Represent the organization in recruiting and marketing events.
Deep knowledge of principles & operations of team-based care models
Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.
Assess, develop and recommend strategies for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Identify trends of over- and under-utilization and implement actions plans to improve.
Teach and orient physicians in the correct application of approved guidelines. .
Guide and enforce Perfect Service Standards (Customer Service) when teaching clinicians.
Assist in the development and delivery of training as it relates to MRA best practices.
Develop and hold accountable contracted physicians for PCO in multiple markets.
Knowledgeable of the target expansion area and with extensive physician/colleague network.
Published papers and presentations within the Healthcare community
Had attended Medical or Residency in the area of expansion.

Live in a city where we have practices
Up to 10% a month time spent practicing in a clinic
