We are now looking for a Lecturer in International Hotel Management to join the within the Institute of Management and Health (IMH) on our Swansea campus on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.
THE ROLE
As a Lecturer in International Hotel Management, you will deliver  teaching on our Certificate and Degree programmes in conjunction with our hotel partners.
A significant proportion of the programme is delivered online and through placements within hotels. You will be expected to bring your extensive recent and relevant hospitality experience into your delivery, using a variety of teaching styles and approaches to a diverse student body as well as providing academic and pastoral guidance to students to secure attendance, progression, achievement and an excellent student experience.
ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Lecturer in International Hotel Management, you will need:
Extensive recent knowledge and experience of management within the hospitality industry
Experience of delivery and assessment at undergraduate level in business/hospitality/management
The ability to be proactive and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
The ability to balance competing pressures of teaching, administrative demands and deadlines
To be highly digitally literate with experience of using e-resources including a willingness to teach by video-link, VLE or website delivery
The willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required
To have an enthusiastic, proactive, customer focused and results orientated approach
A good honours degree in a relevant discipline
A teaching qualification or training experience within a hospitality environment
A postgraduate qualification
Experience of online delivery would be desirable as well as the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh
