Who You Are
As the RN-to-BSN Faculty/Program Director
, you will provide the overall leadership for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s (FRCC) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-to-BSN) college-wide program. The RN-to-BSN program is an online program with practicum coursework that serves learners throughout FRCC's service area. The director plays a key role in promoting and ensuring student success, retention, and completion. You will meet campus presence requirements included in the faculty job description and will need to be present at the Larimer and Westminster campuses at least one day a week as well as foster and maintain effective lines of communication and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
In this position, you will provide overall leadership for the development, delivery, and evaluation of RN-to-BSN curriculum and recruit, train, mentor and evaluate adjunct instructors. In addition, you will manage the accreditation process for the RN-to-BSN program, including maintaining accreditation, facilitating necessary site visits, writing annual reports and ensuring that accreditation standards are met. The director participates in the budget development and planning process and monitors and manages the program budget. Furthermore, the director will provide organizational guidance related to developing, evaluating, and revising student admission, progression, retention and graduation processes within the policies of the governing body. The director will teach 3 to 4 credits with 6 to 7 credits of release for program leadership each fall and spring semester. In addition, since this is an 11-month contract position, 10 credits of teaching/program leadership will be required in the summer.
As a faculty member you act as a mentor for the adjunct instructors. You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels.
Please note: this is an on-campus position with some remote work opportunities. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.
SALARY:

SELECTION PROCESS:

In addition, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division (CDPHE) issued an emergency rule on August 31, 2021 requiring the COVID-19 vaccination for health care workers in the State of Colorado. Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes: A resume; A letter of interest; A copy of official transcripts; A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy; and A list of courses and the semesters you have taught.
Qualifications
Required Education/Training & Work Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a nursing education program with national nursing accreditation and regionally accredited school.
Minimum two years teaching in an accredited nursing program at the registered nurse level.
An active unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado.
Knowledge and skills related to teaching adults, teaching methodology, curriculum development and curriculum evaluation.
Preferred Education/Training & Work Experience:
4000 hours in nursing within the last five years.
Experience directing an undergraduate nursing education program.
Experience with online/hybrid teaching and delivery models.
