SUMMARY:
Under direction, performs and assists with technical laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. Assists in the set-up, and conducting of experiments as required. Performs other related laboratory duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists in packing, unpacking, storing and classification of lab supplies and specimens.

May give suitable instructions to Laboratory Assistants, Service Workers and other non-professional workers and monitors the performance of their work.

Performs standard laboratory procedures involved in making required tests and analyses.

Assists in preparing culture media, reagents, stains, and stock solutions.

Assists with experimentation and research activities.

Assists with the maintenance of the Laboratory facilities, equipment, and instruments.

Maintains accurate records of experimentation and research.

Reviews selected literature relevant to research activities.

Prepares reports, documents and databases.

Helps maintain records, files, and databases.

Understands and adheres to RowanSOM compliance standards as they appear in RowanSOM's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Performs other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in a relevant science. Computer literacy desirable.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.

SALARY:
Minimum is $18.78/hr
