Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree 
Exhibited mastery of curriculum in STEM subjects (e.g. Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Algebra, Calculus, etc.)
A year of teaching OR tutoring experience. 
Possess the ability to tutor virtually or in person as needed. 
Demonstrated ability to work as a team and utilize interpersonal skill. 
Strong oral and written communication skills. Comfortable communicating with students virtually every work day, some students will prefer by video and others by audio or text. 
Adaptable. 
Strong computer skills. Comfortable tutoring virtually. 
Desire and willingness to help others. 
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred with a focus in a STEM field. 
Familiarity with Blackboard and/or Blackboard Collaborate.

CCCC is recruiting for the position of Full-time Lead STEM Tutor for the Academic Assistance Center. The job will revolve primarily around virtual tutoring CCCC students in STEM subjects using BlackBoard Collaborate. 
This position will have some in-person tutoring at our Chatham Main Campus (Pittsboro) location.
This is a grant-funded position with an anticipated grant end date of June 30, 2023.  Continuation of position is contingent upon grant funds.

Essential Duties
Serve students as a representative of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., abiding by all college policies
Engage students in one-on-one or small group academic assistance in area(s) of expertise
Manage regularly scheduled sessions with tutees
Maintain required records (session schedules, material covered, hours worked, etc.)
Attend training sessions and scheduled meetings
Fulfill miscellaneous additional duties as assigned by the coordinator
