Description:
King University, a Christian liberal arts college founded in the Presbyterian tradition and located in the picturesque foothills of East Tennessee, invites applications to fill the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Spanish in the College of Arts and Sciences. This is a full-time, twelve-month position, beginning in Fall 2022. The teaching load is 24 credit hours per year for face to face or online elementary and intermediate Spanish classes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will possess a PhD in Spanish. ABD and Master’s Degree Candidates with at least three years of full-time teaching experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or ABD in Spanish
Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will be expected to teach three Spanish courses at the 1000 and 2000 levels each semester. Candidate is also expected to advise students, develop curriculum, hold at least five office hours per week, and participate in institutional as well as church/community service.
