JOB OVERVIEW
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.-Clermont invites applications for an Assistant Professor-Educator or Associate Professor -Educator and Coordinator of Business Applications and Technology Program beginning not later than Fall 2022. Business Applications and Technology is a 100% online Associate Degree program, but the successful candidate must reside in the vicinity of the UC-Clermont campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Faculty responsibilities for this position are divided into two general areas:
Teaching-related responsibilities:
*Teaching 12-credit hours per semester (Fall/Spring), ongoing scholarship/research, service to the Department, College, University, and Community, and willingness to participate in all normal departmental duties. *Candidates must have experience teaching the following subjects in an online environment: Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/ Excel/Access/Project), workplace technologies, workplace communications, office management, and customer service.
Coordinator-related responsibilities include course scheduling and staffing:
*Recruit and develop an engaged program Advisory Committee. *Work with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness to collect data and prepare assessment plan and annual report. *Assist with the recruitment and hiring of a diverse pool of adjunct faculty for the Program; working with staff advisors to help with student retention, and working with other college/university personnel to promote and grow the program.
A one course, three credit release is given for the assumption of Coordinator responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements for starting rank of Assistant Professor
• A Master's degree in an appropriate business/technology-related discipline.
• 3 years College-level online teaching experience in the discipline area
• 3 years related practical experience
• Experience using common learning management systems
• Proven record of successful student-centered teaching (course/instructor evaluations and peer evaluations)
• Strong history of scholarly engagement through publications or national/regional conference presentations
Additional requirements for starting rank of Associate Professor
• 10 years or more of college-level teaching experience
• 5 years or more of online college-level teaching experience
• 5 years or more overseeing online training or an online program at the college level
• Hold or be willing to get the current Microsoft Office Certifications (MOS) in the Office Suite of applications
• Quality Matters (QM) Certification
