Job Summary
The Disability Program Specialist administers programs and services for students with disabilities.

Essential Functions
1. Conducts intake services for students with disabilities to include (but not limited to) determining eligibility for accommodations, types of accommodations needed, and orienting students to programs and resources available.
2. Coordinates services and accommodation for students in order to meet individual needs based on documented disabilities.
3. Recommends appropriate assistive technologies for students with disabilities.
4. May conduct and/or participate in programs, workshops, and/or presentations concerning students with disabilities.
5. May provide sign-language interpretations for students in classrooms, course related programs, and/or university activities and meetings.
Education Level
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Counseling, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
