Reporting to the Senior Application Systems Developer of Teaching and Learning Applications, the incumbent will join the CUIT Teaching and Learning group to support the New CourseWorks transition project, the University's course management platform, and its related systems. This position will work in collaboration with the following areas within CUIT, Identity and Access Management, Student Information Services, Web Infrastructure, Help Desk, and all schools and departments across the University.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide second tier support to end users of Course Management System and other teaching and learning tools
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of teaching and learning technology systems and process
- Troubleshoots moderate to complex problems that come from Client Support Services and/or end users
- Research across CUIT systems and applications and typically involve application of known solution
- Prepare documentation and troubleshooting guides
- Manage and track tickets via remedy system and generate monthly reports
- Develop training scripts and conduct end user training for faculty, students and staff
- Work with application development team to conduct end user testing for new enhancements and functionality
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years related work experience providing end user support
- Posses strong analytical problem resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
