This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to provide management of our administrational team and processes to support our Academic team and students in the Faculty of Computing, Law, and Psychology.
Key responsibilities include:
To support the Faculty Registrar with the line management of administrative staff, liaising with the University’s Human Resources Team, within the faculty.
To support the Faculty Registrar with the management of all PSRB requirements.
To implement administrative and operational processes across the faculty to ensure they properly underpin its academic mission while remaining consistent with the University’s regulatory obligations and internal frameworks.
To manage the necessary resources for the delivery of the curriculum and to liaise with academic staff as necessary to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the curriculum through effective timetabling and platforms.
To liaise with staff in the University’s Student Administration Team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of examinations and assessments and to deliver reliable processing and reporting of all assessment data to Boards of Examiners, the University’s Exam Senate, PSRBs (where applicable) and students.
To liaise with staff in the University’s Student Services Teams to ensure students are correctly signposted to University services.
To liaise with staff in the University’s Student Administration Team to ensure accurate student records are maintained.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Be an effective negotiator and able to influence other people's thinking. Ability to contribute to service and policy development, able to work both independently and collaboratively. They will need to be conscientious and well organised to manage the team with a varied workload of administrative responsibilities. Previous management experience essential.
