We have over 25,000 students based in 13 countries across the world and are enjoying a period of significant growth. Cardiff Met has an excellent track record in applied research, with much of our activity housed within three recently launched Global Academies: Health and Human Performance, User Centred Design, and Food Science, Safety and Security. The Global Academies form a central part of the University’s research strategy and are critical to the growth ambitions of the University more generally.
Within this context we are now looking to appoint a new Professor of Economics. Alongside leading on interdisciplinary and collaborative research across the University through the Global Academies, you will join a department and school that has a growing international profile for its research. Reporting to the Dean of Cardiff School of Management and Head of Department, you will grow and raise the profile of our research and enterprise activities alongside supporting high quality postgraduate teaching.
The post-holder will be a recognised leader and innovator in a field or discipline relevant to, ideally with a demonstrable interest in, environmental economics and have an international reputation for their research. Success in external research and innovation grant capture alongside a strong publication track record is essential. The role will involve developing and leading research alongside leadership of knowledge exchange and impact.
