Applications are encouraged from academics and aspiring academics for this new hybrid teaching and practice education role. You will have an interest in making a difference to the teaching and learning of pre and post registration students and taking a key role in the development of practice-based education within the School. Practice Education is a core area of AHP education and as School we are committed to working with key stake holders to develop, deliver and evaluate a broad range of high-quality practice-based learning opportunities for our students in preparation for contemporaneous practice. You will have a good understanding of clinical education in practice and be open to supporting the development of innovative and alternative approaches to practice education. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive team of Allied Health researchers and educators, and to support development across AHP practice. Alongside our discipline specific activities, we sit within the School of Health Professions which supports our ethos of interprofessional education and collaboration. The role would involve inter-professional working with both pre-registration and post-registration/postgraduate students and as such would benefit from an educator with prior experience in these areas of teaching. Work in close collaboration with the programme specific placement leads across the School and Faculty in the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of practice-based learning opportunities and resources to support the development of students and practice educators / supervisors. take part in all areas of academic practice including recruitment, placement support and personal tutoring. support our drive to be at the forefront of practice through research and/or professional development activities. You will be an experienced registered Health Care Professional with appropriate academic and or professional experience. You will need to be a team player who is flexible, creative and enthusiastic.
