Location: Longmeadow, MA
Schedule: M-F 8:30 am-5:00 pm. *Weekends, holidays, and evenings required. Extensive travel required during peak recruitment season.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Admissions Counselor represents Bay Path and serves as the primary point of contact for the admission office and all admissions-related events and activities, and assures compliance of state and federal regulations. The primary focus is on direct student recruitment by ethically communicating the value of a **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., pertinent features of different college programs, admission requirements, financial assistance, and other essential information.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Within an assigned geographic territory, manage enrollment services, new student recruitment, community outreach, public information, and promotional events. Develop and strengthen assigned territory by researching trends, demographics, etc., and exploring marketing opportunities
Through a myriad of venues, counsels and effectively communicate with prospective students and their influencers (e.g. family members, guidance counselors, coaches, etc.) on the enrollment process, academic programs, co-curricular activities, financial aid, student services, campus facilities, graduate outcomes, and pathways for graduate degrees.
Assist with the development and implementation of marketing and recruitment strategies for assigned programs, such as informational workshops and college visitation and tours.
Plans, organizes, and coordinates office and marketing activities, recruitment and new student orientation programs, open houses, regional and community presentations, career days, campus-wide recruiting events, etc.
Build relationships with students, influencers, and guidance counselors and presents information regarding the school, program offerings, structure, accreditation, cost, etc. in an accurate and ethical manner.
Positively interact with students and influencers and schedules and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for enrollment based upon career goal compatibility.
Evening and weekend hours are required to conduct recruitment travel, on-campus admissions events, admissions candidate outreach and file reviews, and general office coverage throughout the year. Candidates must be flexible and able to travel extensively 8 to 12 weeks in the Fall, including overnight travel. A car will be provided for recruitment-related travel.
Comply with all necessary systems and data entry requirements as needed to effectively maintain student records and to account for outreach efforts; Work within the customer relationship management system and any other software required.
Perform other duties and take on additional responsibilities as requested by the University.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:
Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
Ability to accomplish projects and meet required deadlines with little supervision.
Exceptional customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
Conscious awareness and mindfulness for others.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer relationship management software.
Ability and willingness to travel, primarily by automobile, to various locations and events independently.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course (within 15 days of hire) and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and within FERPA and HIPAA guidelines.
Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
Ability to represent the admissions profession positively through a strong, student-centered ethic.
Willingness and ability to work flexible and extended schedule, including weekends, evenings and overnights for peak Fall and Spring recruitment seasons (8-12 weeks in the Fall, 2-3 weeks in the Spring).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required.
Fluency in the Spanish language preferred.
