Trauma Registrar','Full-time','Clinical Support','1','1','80','80','None','None','KENTUCKY-LONDON-ST JOSEPH HOSP LONDON','','!*!Job Summary:The
Trauma Registrar is responsible for data collection, both abstracting and
analyzing, data entry, and data completion of the trauma patient population. He/she
is also responsible for data submission/distribution/report generation to/for
the appropriate parties within the designated time frame. This position assists
with projects under the direction of the Trauma Program Director as indicated. Essential Duties:·
Attends
all KentuckyOne required educational programs, as well as Learn Modules, that are trauma specific.·
Verifies
all components of authorizations with hospital policy, state and federal laws.·
Completes
daily abstracting of charts with any trauma.
Maintains a comprehensive listing of admitted trauma patients.·
Ensures
accuracy of the trauma registry and enters into CDM·
Knowledge-data
entry to TraumaBase ·
Obtain
diagnosis of additional documentation to support medical necessity for ED
patients by utilizing the ICD-10 coding ·
Maintains
trauma registry data daily and runs reports as needed·
Enters
patient information for EMTALA forms on all ED transfers daily and updates
monthly transfer log.·
Responsible
for downloading ED census from Meditech daily-calculates, Door to Triage, Door
to Provider, Door to DC, Door to Admit, Door to Transfer, Room to Provider and
Room to DC, enters in to daily, prepares weekly and provides to
President/senior leaders·
Various
performance improvement data collection projects. Up to date knowledge on any changes made by CDM regarding coding and attend training as needed..
