Founded in 2016, we operate with the knowledge that higher education programs are among the best ways to offer opportunities to individuals who are incarcerated as well as fostering a community for people once they are free. Equally important, we encourage public dialogue and action to decarcerate and reduce our stateu0026rsquo;s and countryu0026rsquo;s reliance on punishment as a solution to social inequities. IL-CHEP is a project of Adler Universityu0026rsquo;s Institute of Public Safety and Social Justice.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eJob Overview: u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eUnder the general guidance of the Administrative Director, the Communications Coordinator for the Illinois Coalition for Higher Education in Prison (IL-CHEP) leverages industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the IL-CHEP, Institute of Public Safety and Social Justice and the institution. Supports culture development and management efforts. This consultant will work closely IL-CHEP committee members to produce content and press releases for the coalition.
