Job Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Social Studies Curriculum Manager. The Content Author will create materials for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. social studies question banks, curriculum products, and participate in product development.
Write a wide variety of questions with comprehensive explanations
Develop simple and elegant images that visualize the written explanations
Play a key role in development, planning, and execution of curriculum projects
Provide revisions and constructive feedback on content written by other authors
Collaborate with management and work closely with other content experts to create questions and products as a team
Assists other content team members during peak periods of new content production to ensure that all deadlines are met
Manages time effectively while multi-tasking
Requirements
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelors degree required
Masters degree preferred
Minimum Experience Required:
2 years of Social Studies teaching or curriculum writing experience
Experience teaching least one of the following AP courses is required: Macroeconomics or Microeconomics
Experience teaching any of the following AP courses is a plus: Human Geography, World History, US History, or US Government
Strong knowledge of AP course frameworks
Required Skills:
Passion for education and learning
Visual creativity and proficiency creating digital images
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide, receive, and respond to feedback in a constructive and positive manner
Effective problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail
Ability to think strategically and analytically to execute conceptual ideas into a finished product
Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
Ability to organize, prioritize, and self-motivate to successfully meet deadlines
Adapt quickly to changes
Brainstorm and collaborate in a team setting
Proficient in MS Office/working knowledge of IT
