Family Advocate, Expanded Learning Program

We invite a highly qualified Family Advocate to join our Expanded Learning Team. The Family Advocate works with Sumner-Bonney Lake and White River School Districts as well as surrounding partners in East Pierce County region in the engagement and the support of Latinx families and students through activities, events and services that support and collaborate with parents and students.
As a bilingual Family Advocate, you will join a community of learners focused on providing high quality advocacy and resources to the Latinx community, while working closely with partners to support the growth and leadership with Latinx families. Expanded Learning oversees this program and collaborates with multiple schools and partners to enhance opportunity for Latinx communities. Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in human services, social services, family services, or counseling, or a related degree
High School Diploma/GED and progressively responsible job-related experience may substitute for an Associate’s Degree.
Experience working with culturally diverse families
At least one year of experience working with families and students between ages 5-18
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
Professional experience with case work
